You missed a glorious night.
Thanks to Jeff at Q for everything, Daria Musk for the music, Ten Feet Deep for more music and Next listeners for breaking up their busy weeks to hang out for a bit.
Good people, Good place to hang out plus free acoustic music, free beer and food (yes I picked up the bill and no that wouldn’t happen every time) and free CDs. The range of topics of conversations varied from dating a Mormon, early 70′s heroin, recording sessions, the 2010 World Cup, branding in the digital age and more…I told you it was a magical night. Sorry glorious. Hopefully see you at the next happy hour. Late August. Does the 24th work?

I will leave you with a comment on the Next facebook page in regards to this night
and I quote Steven Wright-Mark
Indeed — a great time. Thanks Chris (and Daria and TFD). But I’ll “cross the line” and suggest that those who don’t make the next one, well…you’ll be sorry. I mean…cool place, good food, cold beer, live impromptu acoustic performances by awesome artists, and great people. Oh, did I mention CDs? Yeah. Just sayin’…
You asked for it. You got it. It’s Another NEXT Happy Hour and Homemade CD exchange. Please join us on Tuesday July 13th. We had such a lovely time the last time around so it only makes sense that we head back to Q in Port Chester. If you are on Facebook here is the Facebook event page.
Bring your laughter and your good times and your friends and your HOMEMADE CD. Yes you remember making those like this one for a Monday Morning. Well we’re bringing them back. Bring a CD. Take a CD. Then hang out. Talk music with other NEXTers (or are we BRO-thers) or just sit in a corner ignoring us while eating some awesome BBQ.
This time around we’ll have special and delicious treat for you. A surprise, if you will, of the acoustic live music type.
Festives kick off around 7:30 and go until Jeff kicks us out. Usually around 9:30.
A quick little video of the last time around

The NEXT Charity Concert Series had a good run at The Rack in Stamford but has been forced to look for a new home. If you know of a good place to host this event let me know (Hint Hint).
We had 7 Brilliant shows and raised almost $4,000 dollars for Big Brothers Big Sisters. I think a good time was had by all that came out to any (or all) of the shows. Plus we helped out a lot during these trying times. Hopefully we can continue this thing again soon.
Thanks and Big hugs and sloppy Kisses to all the bands that helped out.
Please continue to support all of these lovely people.
